The Crustacean Society とブラジル甲殻類学会との合同大会、オンライン開催へ

We have been following the development of the COVID-19 pandemic worldwide especially in Latin American countries as Brazil. Although the advance in vaccination has been observed, the rate is still slow. Unfortunately, along with the vaccination rate, the emergence of the new SARS-COV-II strains is compelling us to take hard decisions avoiding to put at risk the health of our associates and contributors. The Board of Directors of the Brazilian Carcinology Society (CBC) and the President of The Crustacean Society (TCS) have discussed alternatives to ensure the holding of the XI CBC.TCS, always prioritizing quality, viability, and safety. Together, instead of postponing the event we have decided that the next CBC.TCS meeting will be held online (totally virtual). Although the virtual mode restricts personal interactions, current sanitary conditions led us to choose this as the best alternative. We believe that the online meeting allows an adequate planning without putting the lives of the participants in jeopardy while maintaining the high standards shared by both scientific societies. The Congress will be held from June 6th to 9th, 2022. All speakers of the keynote lectures and for most of the approved symposia have already confirmed their presence. The new registration period starts on October, 1st 2021, and those already registered will be contacted to choose between: 1) to cancel the registration, refund the full registration fee, or 2) to remain registered, with refund of the difference value.
